How it all began...
I remember sitting at my dining room table, while in Lusaka Zambia, and drumming up excitement at the prospect of creating an online magazine for women. Ruvimbo was in the final stages of transitioning back to Zimbabwe after a long stint in London. I was a stay-at-home mom, struggling with the lack of independence that came with my then ten month old and my husband's 12 to 14 hour work days.
Collectively, Ru and I knew there was more to who we were than the hats we wore. We wanted to create a safe-haven for women to share, and listen to one another, as we had listened to each other rant about our frustrations, bask in your joys or musings about why certain things weren’t the way we imagined they ought to be.
And so the brainstorming began…
